The Resources of the Center
Luce Hall is the home of the Center of Theological Inquiry. Located at 50 Stockton Street in Princeton and built in 1984 through the generosity of the Henry Luce Foundation, it serve as the focal point for the work of the Center. The land of Luce Hall was provided by Princeton Theological Seminary, and the handsome Georgian red brick building houses the administrative offices of the Center.
The Center's annual interdisciplinary consultations also meet at Luce Hall, which has been especially equipped to host small conferences.
Residential accommodation for members and their families is provided rent-free in comfortable, furnished two or three-bedroom townhouses located in a pleasant rural setting three miles from Luce Hall.
CTI member are also afforded complete access to two of the finest theological collections in the United States--the Speer and Luce Libraries of Princeton Theological Seminary--and through the Seminary, access as well to Princeton University's Firestone Library. These offer the best possible circumstances for members to work together, while also proceeding with the research projects for which they are selected. The combination of benefits provides unique support for advanced research in theology.
