ABOUT OUR PROGRAM

Fall 2011 Resident Scholars

Imagine a place where your only task as a scholar is to pursue your research in the context of a sustained interdisciplinary conversation on common questions with outstanding colleagues from other fields of inquiry. In the academic world today, the Center of Theological Inquiry is that rare place. Each year, we convene in Princeton a resident team of advanced research scholars from around the world and from a range of academic disciplines who welcome the Center’s interdisciplinary approach and ecumenical ethos. Resident membership in the Center is given at the Director’s invitation for the purpose of full-time research on an accepted research proposal. The goal of this great endeavor is nothing less than transformed scholars whose work will change the way we think. Every facet of our Program is designed to achieve this goal.
