Our Mission

We convene leading thinkers in an interdisciplinary research environment where theology makes an impact on global concerns, and we share our discoveries to change the way people think and act.

Welcome to our website. You are visiting as we launch our fifth decade with a five-year inquiry on five global issues. Look out for weekly postings, sharing the latest news from our resident seminars and their fresh thinking on global concerns. Better still, become a Friend of CTI and receive regular news e-bulletins, our magazine “Fresh Thinking”, and invitations to special events.
— William Storrar, director

It was founded in 1978 as a nonprofit corporation of the State of New Jersey. It is governed by a Board of Trustees and advised by an Academic Panel of eminent scholars and scientists. CTI invites theologians, religion scholars, and researchers in the humanities and sciences to apply for membership of its resident seminars on global concerns.
