Our Mission

We convene leading thinkers in an interdisciplinary research environment where theology makes an impact on global concerns, and we share those discoveries to change the way people think and act.

Welcome to our website. You are visiting as we launch our fifth decade with a five-year inquiry on religion and global issues. Look out for regular postings, sharing the latest news from our research workshops and their fresh thinking on global concerns. Better still, become a Friend of CTI and receive regular news e-bulletins, our magazine “Fresh Thinking”, and invitations to special events.
— William Storrar, director

The Center of Theological Inquiry (CTI) is an independent institution for interdisciplinary research with an international visiting scholar program in Princeton, NJ. It was founded in 1978 as a nonprofit corporation of the State of New Jersey. It is governed by a Board of Trustees and advised by an Academic Panel of eminent scholars and scientists. CTI invites theologians and researchers in the humanities and sciences to apply for membership of its research workshops on global concerns.
